AUTOMATIC DRY TABLET & LIQUID METERING
The Chemicator® brand Model E Tablet & Briquette Feeder and the Model L-1 Liquid Feeder are reliable, self-contained, non-electric dosing devices In a typical installation, the sturdy plastic Feeder is fastened to the wall of a cooling tower and water from the discharge side of the circulating pump is piped to the Feeder inlet port. During tower operation, the Feeder reservoir fills at about 0.75 gallons/minute causing the rising water level to gently wet a controlled and adjustable portion of the tablets (Model E) or causing a float to activate a patented dispensing valve (Model L-1). When the reservoir is completely filled, a siphon self-primes and empties the reservoir. Each time the reservoir fills and empties, a precise quantity of treatment chemical is discharged. When the circulating pump is not operating, the reservoir drains and no treatment chemical is dissolved or dispensed. The Model E Feeder may be used to dose any highly water soluble tablet with compatible dimensions, and the Model L-1 Feeder may be used to dose any low viscosity solution. For best results, conduct tests to determine feed rates of individual products or use those which have been specifically formulated and manufactured for use in Chemicator® brand Feeders.
